Let Me Tell You About One of My Graphic Design and Branding Service Projects for a Cleveland-based Coffee Roaster…
Meet Rising Star, one of the most established and well-known coffee companies in Cleveland, OH. They loved their logo but needed a little refresh and something special for a product drop.
I took time to understand their inspiration when we worked through step 4 of my 7-step process, learning what makes their brand unique and what they envisioned being illustrated.
Then my brain and hands got to work, creating pencil sketches, taking feedback on vision boards and designing a full colored brand flash sheet with detailed cafe illustrations.
Revisions completed, Rising Star had the PNG files for their new illustrations in black and white and full color to use for their upcoming product launch.
The result? Items sold out immediately and my social mentions kicked off like a rocket launch.
We saw some of Lisa’s murals out and about in the city and it inspired us to seek her out for some in-house merchandise graphics and illustrations. Working with Lisa was a blast. Great question – it’s time to get geeky. I don’t create fonts which you download and have in your computer system. What I create is hand-lettering and illustrative typography (think of all those pretty headlines you see on posters. My business started because I’m obsessed with hand lettering. I’ve even written a book about it. I’ll create an illustrative typography which perfectly matches your vibe.
